Monica is known for maximizing time and effort for each of her clients, creating individualized programs based on each person’s physical and emotional needs and goals. As a Master Trainer and Lifestyle and Weight-Management Coach, she not only leads clients to their ultimate goals, but often surpasses them and gives them the tools that they need to maintain their success for the rest of their lives.

She always believes in her clients just a little more than they believe in themselves. She helps them dig deep within themselves to discover confidence, strength, self-love and a sense of worthiness that fuels their fitness journey. Whether that means helping a person with a disability see their hidden strengths, pushing an athlete past their best performance achievements, or simply taking a novice by the hand and showing them how uncomplicated working out can be, Monica’s effective no-nonsense yet loving and unintimidating training style has won the hearts of fitness enthusiasts and newbies alike.

After growing up overweight, Monica lost 65 pounds and discovered her passion for fitness, running, Bikram Yoga and skydiving. She embraced her new lifestyle and became a Fitness Model, Master Trainer, Marathoner and Triathlete. She has never looked back and, since joining the New York Sports Clubs team in 2005, has made it her life’s work to transform the lives of those around her.

As a contributing editor at FITNESS magazine, Monica creates workouts and provides tricks and tips on how to lose weight, stay fit and reach goals while still having fun. In addition to training and modeling for FITNESS, she has worked with several national media outlets, including SHAPE magazine, Runners World magazine, Women’s Running magazine, ESPN, Woman’s Day, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, The Washington Post, The Daily News, AOL That’s Fit, Yahoo Health and She’s also created vignette workouts for She’s run Wellness workshops both locally and internationally and has been featured in interviews with New York City’s 106.7 Lite FM radio.

She is also an official Trainer for SUBWAY Restaurants, for whom she provides fitness tips for their fans and followers.

She has made frequent appearances on CBS’s Early Show, Fox 5’s Good Day New York and The Dr Oz Show, NBC's LxTV and Sunday Today, WPIX’s PIX11 Morning Show and was a trainer on Food Network's Fat Chef. Her chef, Chelsie, lost the highest percentage of weight and has since lost over 100 pounds.

She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and an American Council on Exercise Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach. She also holds certifications in US Track and Field Coaching, Road Runner’s Club of America Run Coaching , NASM Corrective Exercise, NASM Prenatal Exercise, NASM Neuromuscular Stretching and ISCA Boxing.

She is also presently pursuing a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy, since she wants to help change lives and heal bodies in an even more profound way.
